We want this to be a safe haven to vent those frustrations -- and then to find a way to regroup for the important work at hand. If you read the report on the essential traits for frontline editors, one is optimism.

Frontline editors can't solve The Big Problem: the need for a new business model to support the practice and values of journalism we all believe in.

What we can do is practice the best journalism we know how today, and learn how to do it even better tomorrow. So we hope this forum will be a place we can help each other get renewed, and solve problems that are solvable.
